How often should a house in Mallorca be inspected?
A house in Mallorca should usually be inspected at least once a year, before autumn brings the heaviest rain, with particular attention to roofs, terraces and drains. Houses by the sea or with a pool, and those left closed up for months, need more frequent inspections. In addition, the Building Logbook (Libro del Edificio) of a new home sets out the instructions for use and maintenance that should be followed.
Can you maintain a house you didn’t build?
Yes. Top Mallorca maintains homes built or refurbished by other companies. The plan begins with an initial visit to get to know the house, its building services and its condition, and that information is used to decide what to inspect and how often. If there is documentation from the build, such as plans or the Building Logbook (Libro del Edificio), it helps us understand the house better from day one.

Both belong to the Top Mallorca group. If Top Mallorca Property Care looks after your home, their team handles the emergency and, when a technical repair is needed, coordinates it with Top Mallorca Constructions. We let you know what happened and how it was resolved and, if the repair is not urgent, we send you a quote before carrying it out.
